Castle Howard’s beautiful swans on a wintry day in January. Loved the blues and purples and I have decided to paint a large painting of these. Can’t wait to show you it!

August
Taking a break from painting, but not from soaking up the amazing views on the North York Moors. Never fails to give you a sense of awe and wonder at the beauty of the open landscapes and vast skyscapes,. The colours of the heather and moorlands in August is truly beautiful and you can go for hours and not see another person, just you and your thoughts, and the moors.
Wow, what a place!
September
A month of caring for a much loved mother. Cancer is taking her away from us!
Studio sale to start 1st October
October
Mum passed away peacefully at home surrounded by myself and her family, loving her to the end and always.
November
Finding time to reflect
A month to grieve and celebrate a life well lived, in the places my Mum loved to spend time just sitting admiring the view, and taking it all in. The ‘call’ to go for a ride up the moors was a strong and lasting one.
Dad and I visit this view towards Black Hambleton, along the drovers road from Osmotherley to Helmsley. This place holds special memories for all the family and we shall continue to spend time here.
Trying out some small studies on boards using oils and limited colours. Our favourite place, full of memories.
December
Ending the year, trying something new!
Having a bit of fun, painting my daughter and a friend. You have all done it….sent a selfie photo at the end of a drunken night out and pulled a funny face. I loved this photo and wanted to paint it large. It makes me smile every time I look at it.
