Feeding on the moors ~ oil on canvas original painting ~ 81 x 61cm ~ certificate of authenticity

£189.00

Being outdoors on the beautiful and diverse North York Moors enjoying the open spaces and tranquillity, you will see the sheep wander freely across the moorland, usually oblivious to walkers, too busy nibbling the coarse grass, often with just a glance and a quick trot off if you venture too close.

The texture and variety of colours in the sheep wool I saw up close, as I sat enjoying my lunch, overlooking the magnificent ‘Hole of Horcum’ ( a spectacular moorland feature on The North York Moors). A couple of sheep came close, munching on the dry grass and were not in the slightest bothered. It was great to get up close to these moorland wanderers.
